Baseball Field Equipment

Baseball field equipment covers the kit that protects players and property during practice: L-screens for batting-practice pitchers, backstop nets behind home plate, full and semi-open batting cages, and the tension cable kits that keep cage netting taut. There are also anchored base sets and moulded-rubber home plates from Champion Sports, and cages and screens from VEVOR, ORIENGEAR, WICTTISPOSI and TARUMG for clubs, schools and back gardens.

For baseball field protection, check three things. Mesh: a baseball is roughly 7.4 cm across, so 25–44 mm (1–1¾ in) mesh stops it. Net weight: heavier 30- and 45-ply nets take repeated line drives behind the plate, while lighter 4–7-ply nets suit tee work and soft toss. Material: polyethylene nets, including HDPE, cope with rain, and UV-treated netting lasts longer left up outdoors. Measure your space, including room to walk round the frame, before choosing a 9 m or 10.7 m cage.
