Elite Hockey Pro-Skate Guard junior/medium (Royal Blue) — VCI rust protection, rubber traction sole

Elite Hockey Pro-Skate Guard JR/Medium are water-resistant, VCI-treated blade covers that protect junior skate edges and let you walk safely off the ice.

These junior/medium skate guards (sizes 1–5) are built to keep blades dry, secure and free of nicks when skates are carried or walked off the ice. The outer polyester shell sheds moisture, an inner soft lining cushions the blade, and an impregnated VCI treatment helps reduce corrosion risk. A rubber traction strip along the sole gives confident footing when you need to walk between the rink and your bag.

How do these guards protect skate blades when not on the ice?

The guards combine a VCI-impregnated inner lining with molded foam to cradle the blade and block contact with other gear. That soft inner layer prevents scratching while the VCI treatment helps slow oxidation on metal edges. The snug wrap-around design also reduces movement so edges are less likely to get dinged in transit.

• VCI-treated inner lining to resist rust and corrosion
• Molded foam secures blade position and cushioning
• Soft polyester interior prevents scratching and chipping
• Snug fit reduces blade contact with bag contents

Can I walk around the rink wearing these blade covers?

Yes — the base of each guard has a rubber traction strip designed to grip common rink flooring and parking areas. This traction reduces slips and helps you move short distances without switching to protective hard soakers. The flexible outer shell balances protection and portability for convenient off-ice use.

• Rubber sole strip for grip on wet or smooth surfaces
• Durable exterior polyester resists wear from walking
• Low-profile design keeps guards compact in a bag
• Intended for short-distance walking, not extended outdoor wear

What sizes and fit details should I consider for junior skates?

These Pro-Skate Guards are sized junior/medium to fit skate sizes roughly 1–5. They’re made to slip over the blade and wrap securely so the edge is covered from toe to heel. If you’re between sizes, choose the larger option for easier on/off and to avoid compressing the blade edge.

• Junior/Medium fits approximately skate sizes 1–5
• Snug but stretchable construction for a secure hold
• Choose larger size if unsure or if blades have covers already
• Sold as a pair (two covers) for left and right blades

How do these guards help with gear organization and longevity?

By keeping blades dry and separated from other items, the guards reduce rust and prevent sharp edges from cutting through bag liners. The water-resistant outer fabric keeps moisture away from the inner lining, and the protective cushioning stops edge-to-edge contact that can dull blades over time. That means less frequent sharpening and fewer surprise nicks.

• Water-resistant outer shell repels moisture from rink areas
• Prevents blades from contacting other equipment inside bags
• Reduces frequency of edge damage and maintenance needs
• Simple to slide on and off for post-session storage
