Are Crankbrothers cleats compatible with Shimano SPD pedals?

No. Crankbrothers cleats fit the same two-bolt mount on your shoes, but the cleat itself only engages Crankbrothers pedals such as the Eggbeater, Candy, Mallet and Double Shot. Shimano SPD cleats do not work in Crankbrothers pedals either. If you switch systems, change both pedals and cleats together.

Which Crankbrothers pedal is right for trail or enduro riding?

For trail riding, the Candy adds a small platform around the clip mechanism for stability. For enduro and downhill, the Mallet's wide platform and adjustable pins give support when you are unclipped in rough sections. The Eggbeater suits cross-country riders who want the lowest weight and the best mud clearance.

Should I choose Stamp pedals in small or large?

The two Stamp platform sizes are matched to shoe size, so riders with smaller feet get a platform that suits their foot and riders with larger feet get more support. What does cleat float mean?

Float is how far your heel can swing sideways while clipped in before the cleat starts to release. Some float lets knees and ankles track naturally; zero float gives a more locked-in feel. Crankbrothers cleats come in different float and release-angle versions, which are marked on the packaging.
